This public domain letter O drop cap image is certainly a fancy one. There’s so many design elements on this fancy letter image that it’s hard to know where to look first. Some trailing ivy vines and leaves add a bit of height to the letter. But, it is the decoration on and in the letter O where things get really busy. Ivy vines, large leaves wrapped over the letter itself and perhaps an animal of some sort hanging amongst all of it. This fancy letter O image would certainly make a bold statement in your next creative work.
So many wonderful illustrations were included in the large work Hill’s Album of Biography and Art from 1882 by Thomas E. Hill. This is but one of them.
