Drawing of a full-rigged clipper ship of 1880 under all sail. I think almost moreso than any of the other sailing ship drawings on Reusable Art, it is this style of ship that I most often think of. The yards and yards of silks stretched fully in the wind as the American clipper ship almost skates across the water is what seems like the pinnacle of sailing ship design. This sailing ship image is in the public domain and can be used however you wish.
This is another wonderful drawing from the children’s magazine Harper’s Young People. It was included in the February 3, 1880 edition.
