My, my what a great drop cap letter M image. You might have seen the block-print like portion of this fancy letter image before as quite a few publishers used similar sets of drop cap letters but this is the first one we’ve found where there’s been a bit of additional artwork added to make the letter even fancier.
This copyright free drop cap M image is part of a set of 12 letter images we found. The set also includes the letters A, C, D, G, H, I, J, O, P, T and W.
This set of fancy letters were all used in the 1881 book How a Little Boy Learned to Be Wise and Good. It was written by Helen Cross Knight (1814-1906). These images are most likely from the publisher Thomas Nelson and Sons.
