Copyright free King Midas image from the talented artists Walter Crane. One of the most well-known of all of the stories of Ancient Greek mythology, King Midas’ ability to turn everything he touches into gold, remains a thoughtful warning to be careful what you wish for. This and a number of other mythology-related drawings were done by Walter Crane (1845-1915) for inclusion in the 1892 publication Wonder Book for Girls & Boys by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
