Dark and heavy is the best way to describe this fancy letter A drawing. As far as chapter introductions go, this drop cap A is almost Byzantine in feel. It could benefit from a bit more cleanup but it would work quite well as it is now.The King’s Warrant A Story of Old and New France was written by Alfred H. Engelbach. It was published in 1878 but Engelbach did not identify an illustrator or print foundry for the images that were included in his work.
