Decorated letter A image in a square and further surrounded by scroll work and flowers. You could easily take this one public domain letter image and turn it into 5 or 6 different variations as there’s enough space between each of the elements to modify them easily.
Thomas E. Hill made quite an ambitious work when he wrote Hill’s Album of Biography and Art in 1882. He did not indicate whether the artwork is from his own hand, another artist or primarily from print foundries.
