Vintage botanical print of an asparagus life cycle. Before seeing this drawing, I didn’t realize that asparagus plants produced a red fruit along with the yummy stems we eat.
This would make a great addition to a work on cooking asparagus or gardening. It is from the 1858 book Lessons From the Vegetable World.
