A pretty young mother holds her infant. This piece of cover art is a bit distressed but it just adds to the overall charm of this mother and infant drawing. The mother is wearing a pink dress which brings out the charming little pink cheeks of her baby. Both have blue eyes and blonde hair.
Ida Waugh (d.1919) was the illustrator for this and a lot of other drawings from Tangles & Curls, or, Little Boys and Little Girls which was published around 1888. Waugh has provided a number of wonderful drawings of children that I’ve shared here on Reusable Art.
