This charming baby seal sketch looks to me if it was drawn with a medium point felt tipped marker. It was rescued from a larger social commentary image that I didn’t care for. I thought the seal was just too darn cute to not include here on Reusable Art. He is a little rough around the edges but I think that just adds to his charm.
He is one of our growing collection of sealife images of sea mammals and is perhaps the most charming so far. I hope you will agree. He was drawn by Oliver Herford (1863-1935) and appeared in the book A Child’s Primer of Natural History from 1899.
