He’s right in the center, but you have to look to find the bird surrounded by the flowers on this vintage border. This great black and white thin border will make a great visual break on your next project.
The book where this vintage image appeared, Waifs and Strays of Natural History was printed by Chiswick Press and Whittingham & Wilkins. It was published by Bell and Daldy. It is probably a bit of stock typography and dates back to at least 1871.
