A grouse in flight is the subject of this bird drawing from the early 1900s. Art deco in styling and looking much like today’s clip art, this black and white bird image is copyright free and can be used for anything in most countries.
This is just one of several wonderful black and white drawings from the talented artist Dugald Stewart Walker (1883-1937) included in the book The Boy Who Knew What the Birds Said. It was released in 1918.
