Vintage pheasant drawing. These birds are so very pretty in real life with iridescent green feathers on their necks and many shades of brown feathers on the rest of their bodies. I haven’t seen one in the wild in years, but I remember seeing these large ground birds when I was a child living in Pennsylvania. This pheasant drawing does a fairly good job of showing how very pretty pheasants are but be sure to check out some of our more recent additions to the bird and pheasant drawing categories.
Harry’s Ladder to Learning included so many wonderful illustrations like this one. This 1869 book, published by Ward, Lock & Taylor of London has provided dozens of illustrations that I’ve shared with you here on Reusable Art.
