It’s been several years since I had a drawing of birds with a nest to share. This one is from a children’s book that was published in 1882. The illustrator was not identified, nor was the engraver.
This black and white bird image shows a pair of birds with a nest. One of the birds is sitting on the nest and the other sits on a nearby branch as if watching over its mate and their eggs. We can’t see the eggs, so it’s not for certain whether there are any but we can imagine there are 3 or 4 eggs nestled safe and warm under their parent.
The pair of birds and their nest are up high in a tree. Leaves and branches provide a nice amount of cover to protect all of them.
