A fierce-looking little black dog looks ready to defend his doghouse. This simply little drawing makes me smile every time I see it. The scruffy little dog appears ready to do battle with all comers. Drop me a line if you use this humorous dog image – I would love to see what you do with it.
This is another of those wonderful children’s books which provided a bunch of great vintage images for Reusable Art. National Rhymes of the Nursery did not include a publication date, but the artist was Gordon Browne (1858-1932) and his work is in the public domain.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
