Vintage black and white vignette with a globe and book. This is the first page spacer image that I’ve seen would satisfy someone looking for an educational vignette or page spacer image. Along with the book and globe, the vignette also has several lily flowers and vines.
When Alfred H. Engelbach’s book was published in 1878, Engelbach did not identify an illustrator. Many of the images were probably purchased from a print foundry to be used with The King’s Warrant A Story of Old and New France.
