I really like this sketch. A country lane surrounded by trees and mountains takes a turn onto a stone bridge. The country bridge might be over another country lane, a set of railroad tracks or just over a gully – we’re not shown what it goes over. What we are shown is a wonderful public domain bridge and landscape sketch that could easily be colorized to make it uniquely your own.
This is a number of drawings from William Walker (b. 1821) that he included in his Handbook of Drawing published in 1880.
