Statue of Lord Bacon

This vintage drawing is of either the memorial to Sir Francis Bacon that can be found in the chapel of Trinity College in Cambridge or the memorial at St Michael’s Church in St Albans where Bacon is buried.

Bacon is credited with establishing what has become known as the scientific method which scientists continue to use since his death in 1626. He was an English philosopher, statesman, scientist, lawyer, jurist and author according to WikiPedia.org.

This vintage, copyright free drawing of one of Great Britain’s most famous people would make a great addition to a student report on Bacon and his accomplishments. This drawing of a statue of Lord Bacon was recovered from the 1851 work Illustrated London Reading Book, 3rd. ed, a work published by The Illustrated London News.
