This nice letter C with ivy dates back to at least 1878. That’s the year it was included as part of Ballads of Beauty, a book of poetry. It was one of a number of similar letter images that were used to decorate the otherwise plain text.
The C is fairly dark and a bit chiseled in appearance. It is surrounded by a few curled tendrils, ivy vines and ivy leaves. Not really much more to say about this letter image other than enjoy and have fun finding a way to incorporate this vintage letter image into your next creative project.
