I like the way the artist drew and colored this stalk of celery drawing. We have the harvest celery in the foreground, colorized nicely with watercolors and a simple line drawing of a branch of celery with leaves in the background. This botanical print came from a book written over 150 years ago. It contained this celery drawing along with a number of other food images.
This vintage vegetable drawing was included in Lessons From the Vegetable World which was published in 1858.
