Drawing of chickens standing on one leg in the snow. Their other leg is tucked up under the feathers in an attempt to keep warm. I didn’t even pick up that they were all standing on one leg until I read the text which had accompanied this bird image. I suppose you could use it as a winter image or a chicken image. I’ll leave it up to you to decide. The Nursery, February 1877 is where I found this illustration.
