The Sultan is an ornamental fowl that makes a wonderful pet. With a lively disposition and a number of amusing traits, this bird is both beautiful and charming. Sultans have white plumage includes some feathers on the legs and the males have full and flowing tail feathers. Chicken images like this one would make a great addition to any project requiring a public domain bird image.
It is so much fun finding vintage books full of wonderful illustrations. Thomas E. Hill’s 1882 work Hill’s Album of Biography and Art provided over 200 drawings for this site.
