Pretty drawing of a pair of Dark Dorking chickens. It is one of two vintage drawings of these beautiful birds by Harrison Weir (1824-1906) and appeared in the 1902 work Our Birds.Their name might be dark but these beautiful birds are far from dark. With a lightly colored collar, green iridescent tail and red comb, they are a showy bird.
