Vintage chicken drawing of a pair of Red Pile Game birds. I found little information online about this breed of chicken. I suspect it is either called something else now or is not all that common. The description in the vintage children’s book said that both male and female birds have bright red and white feathers. They don’t do well confined. Like all of the bird images on Reusable art, this chicken drawing is in the public domain.
Can you just imagine how much work went into a publication from 1882 the size of Hill’s Album of Biography and Art? Thomas E. Hill included illustrations and page decorations on virtually every page. Over 200 of them are now showcased here on Reusable Art and will hopefully make their way to many new projects and explorations in creativity.
