Five young children play at the beach while their mother sits nearby shading herself under a pink umbrella. Several sailboats glide by offshore. This charming scene would be a great color image for anyone looking to demonstrate a fun day at the beach.

This vintage drawing was included in the vintage children’s book Holly Berries. It was illustrated by Ida Waugh (d. 1919) and released in 1881.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
