Charming vintage illustration of a big sister reading to her younger brother. Instead of using black ink with gray tones, this public domain image is in shades of maroon or reddish tones and depicts a tender moment between siblings. The large size would make a great greeting card image or it could be made smaller for scrapbooking.
A Store of Stories for Children was also a wonderful source of vintage images. It’s from 1888, published by Skeffington & Son and written by Frances Clare. No illustrator was credited.
