It dates back to a book published in 1883. This church landscape drawing is supposed to be of the village of Putney in England. It is from a book about an author and illustrator and is the view from his own home. Must have been a lovely place to live.
We have a boat sailing along the canal where we can see the church and another building in the landscape. Trees and a bridge complete the landscape to create a serene and bucolic scene.
