Smart suit in the height of fashion in 1854. This vintage fashion image depicts an outfit from 1850s American fashion. With checkerboard striped trousers, a striped blouse, bow tie and black jacket, this child’s outfit was quite stylin. I found it in a 1854 edition of Godey’s Lady’s Book and Magazine.
