Victorian era clothing advertisement for a lovely shawl called the Medora. Offered by G. Brodie, this lovely lady’s shawl is a fine example of period clothing and a great advertising image. I’ve included the original text because it offers a fine example of both the language of the time and the way products were once described for sale. This advertisement appeared in a 1854 edition of Godey’s Lady’s Book and Magazine.
