A charming children’s book was published in 1880 by Charles E. Graham. Animal Pets featured this unattributed illustration of a young calf taking its first steps into the big wide world. A mother and child sit on a nearby split rail fence surrounded by spring flowers and watching the young cow’s progress.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
