Drawing of a letter D image in an Old World style. With what seems to me to be a bit of a Germanic style, this drop cap letter D is old fashioned and dramatic. With a letter that looks as if it were carved from wood surrounded by leaves and what might be a passion flower, this fancy letter D image could really turn a so-so project into something truly special.
So many wonderful illustrations were included in the large work Hill’s Album of Biography and Art from 1882 by Thomas E. Hill. This is but one of them.
