Is it just me or does that orange dahlia look somehow misplaced in this botanical print? It’s too perfectly round I think. Maybe you’ll like this flower image better without the dahlia and marigolds? I gave it a bit of an edit…you can find just the pink flowers here – pink hollyhocks.
On the other hand, if you like this botanical print as it was originally designed over 150 years ago, this one’s ready for using in your own projects. The French marigolds are so bright and bold next to the more pastel colors of the hollyhocks and dahlia flowers. This bookplate almost looks as if more than one artist may have been involved but perhaps that would make it even better for your needs?
Lessons From the Vegetable World included a number of flower illustrations. They were published in 1858 and now illustrator or watercolorist was credited for the work.
