Oh, what a poor tired dog. This ship dog walks on deck looking very tired from a long voyage. It’s not one of the happiest dog drawings that I’ve included on Reusable Art but I thought it was interesting to show a working dog with a bit of drama and emotion attached. It’s in the public domain, so it’s yours to use as you wish.
The official illustrator for The Christmas Tree was Harrison Weir (1824-1906). It was published in 1885 with a number of Weir’s drawings along with publisher images often used to decorated headings and footers.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
