Vintage drawing of a pair of handsome black ducks. These ducks are Cayugas, a breed that originated in the United States. It was suggested that they made great garden pets since they destroy slugs and worms. But, they might gobble up your strawberries as they have a particular fondness for the red fruit. These once popular ducks are now considered a threatened species. But, have no fear of using this vintage duck drawing as it is fully in the public domain.
Can you just imagine how much work went into a publication from 1882 the size of Hill’s Album of Biography and Art? Thomas E. Hill included illustrations and page decorations on virtually every page. Over 200 of them are now showcased here on Reusable Art and will hopefully make their way to many new projects and explorations in creativity.
