May Easter Happiness be Yours. And if happiness means an overflowing box of pretty little blue flowers, this vintage Easter card might brighten your day.
It’s another illustration from our favorite postcard artist, Ellen Clapsaddle. Ellen Hattie Clapsaddle (1865 – 1934) was an American illustrator well-remembered for her postcard illustrations. It’s believed her illustrations graced over 3,000 different greeting cards. Even without her trademark children and animals, this bit of Easter Happiness still clearly exhibits her charming style.
I’ve shared the largest version I have of this vintage Easter card that I have below. It’s full of blue periwinkles with little yellow and orange centers. A big blue bow is tied to the top of the box; just below the greeting Easter happiness by Yours.
