Vintage drawing of a black elephant. This black and white elephant drawing was found in a children’s magazine. There is a second image, Black Elephant that goes along with it. They were from a puzzle that challenged children to cut the first image in such a way as to create this one. Think you know how they did it? They cut a triangle out of the elephant’s belly, and flipped it upside-down to create one position from another. Clever, huh?
This is another wonderful drawing from the children’s magazine Harper’s Young People. It was included in the February 3, 1880 edition.
