Admittedly, this is only a part of a building but it is worth saving. This entranceway of a colonial home was part of an 1893 book about American colonial life and how ladies and gentlemen visited each other.
What a stately home that these grand Ionic columns would have graced. A riot of vines, likely roses, gave a slightly cottage look to this grand entranceway.
The illustration is large enough to be used as a coloring page. Just imagine how pretty it would be with some color!
