This fancy letter image is a drop cap letter F from a print foundry in the 1800s and was included in the book Flowers of the Hunt. The print foundries provided publishers with the equivalent of today’s fonts and stock images. Reusable Art has a number of the letters in this set that was used by a number of different publishers. It features the letter F with a single large flower and several berries and branches.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
