Another somewhat small, but fairly nice drop cap illustration from an 1886 children’s magazine. The August edition had several of these wonderful letter images that could not already be found here on Reusable Art.
This fanciful letter G drawing includes a capital letter G in a somewhat heavy Old-English sort of style with delicate curlicues as decoration. It fits nicely with a body of plain text and would make a nice addition to a web page or other literary work.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
