Feeding the chickens children’s drawing is yet another wonderful book illustration from the publishing house of Frederick Warne and Sons. The book is entitled Holidays at the Farm and was published in the early 1900s.
In this drawing, there’s a pair of young girls feeding a gray and a chestnut colored hen and their 5 chicks. A young boy casually leans on a fence rail watching them. He’s so cute in his little sailor suit. In the background is a large tree and other indistinct greenery.
