This bit of fireplace cover art was a bit of a disappointment. With such a cool piece of cover art, the rest of the book was sure to have some nice drawings to share. Unfortunately this vintage fireplace drawing in blues and gold is the only illustration in or on the 1885 release of Winter Fun. But, I think the two colors of blue with the pale smoke and the gold andirons, logs and flames makes this public domain image a wonderful starting point for your own artistic project. The editor and publisher, James Elverson did not identify either an author or illustrator.
