Marcus Elieser Bloch was one of the most important ichthyologists in the 18th Century. This drawing of a Scarus Viridis fish was hand colorized by the artist and included in an enormous collection of highly detailed fish illustrations. Don’t let his name scare you as this lovely fish drawing is copyright free and can be used where ever you need a beautiful drawing of a fish. This was one of many fish drawings that appeared in Ichtylogie, ou Histoire naturelle, génerale et particuliére des poissons by Marcus Elieser Bloch (1723 – 1799).
