Full color, vintage book plate with a variety of flowers. Yellow, purple, red and white flowers among a background of green leaves make this large image a great full image or source of a number of smaller flower and leaf images.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that a book entitled A Year With the Wild Flowers would be full of wonderful flower images. The book was published sometime in the 1870s and published by the Wesleyan Conference Office. While they did not list an illustrator, the signature is on this work is clearly that of William Dickes (1815-1892). The author was Edith Waddy.
