This vintage image is from one of the many wonderful children’s books from the publishing firm Blackie & Son of Glasgow. It was included in their 1883 work A Box of Stories: Packed for Young Folks.
A variety of flowers and leaves make up this embossed-looking border. While the image is a bit crooked, it is made extra interesting by the small places where a flower petal or leaf extends beyond the main image.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
