A pair of flowers are the focal points of this vintage, frame-like floral border. This black and white image would make a great frame if paired with itself positioned up-side-down.
When author Laura Valentine (d. 1899) and her publisher Frederick Warne and Co. began selling Aunt Louisa’s Welcome Visitor in the 1870s, I bet they never would have thought that 140 years later people would still be enjoying their work.
