A simple and delicate vignette of a flower line drawing. A single flower at the center of a linear piece with two pairs of leaves is what I’m sharing with you today. It’s from an 1888 tome discussing the work of a playwright from 2 centuries earlier. The author lived until 1894 and did not identify an illustrator for the various page spacers and vignettes he used in his book. This vintage flower line drawing is probably not unique to this work but we have a date for it that tells us it at least dates back to 1888. Which means it is in the public domain pretty much everywhere.
