A magazine, most often associated with science published an edition in 1887 dedicated to architecture and building. It was full of wonderful advertising images, household drawings and building plans. This lovely French cottage is one of several wonderful buildings included in the edition. It also included a breakdown for the costs of building this stone cottage – $3,054.
The plan includes a vestibule (A), a dining room (C), a bedroom (D), a kitchen (B) and a bathroom (E).
