When it comes to fancy letters used in public domain works, this ornate letter G drawing is perhaps one of the tallest I’ve ever encountered. At 516 pixels tall, this letter G image will certainly make a grand addition to your next creative work. There are so many different aspects to the decoration of the letter that it’s hard to put it into words beyond ornate. The letter G itself is decorated with dark and light areas and sits on a medallion that itself sits on some delicate decorations. I think rather than using this letter G image as a drop cap, that it would make a wonderful bit of word name art.
So many wonderful illustrations were included in the large work Hill’s Album of Biography and Art from 1882 by Thomas E. Hill. This is but one of them.
