I love all these old-fashioned letter images. So many of the books printed in the late 1800s and early 1900s used what we now call fonts and stock images they purchased from print foundries.
This one is of a letter G. The G is decorated by a large central flower, a flower bud and several berries. It is a light letter on a dark background. It was used in the 1889 work Flowers of the Hunt.
This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
