I so love these vintage children’s book illustrations; particularly full-color ones like this gaggle of geese drawing. It’s from Holidays on the Farm; one of those wonderful children’s books from Frederick Warne and Sons from the early 1900s.

In this drawing we have 5 light-gray geese exploring the yard. A few are stopping at the edge of a pond to get a drink. A pair are checking out the area closer to the split rail fence in the shade under a tree. The entire illustration would make a wonderful post card.

This image is copyright free and in the public domain anywhere that extends copyrights 70 years after death or at least 120 years after publication when the original illustrator is unknown.
