A blind woman is led to church by a thankful goose. This vintage black and white illustration is from a charming story of a goose who was saved by a woman and returned each Sunday to guide the woman to church. This fun goose image is in the public domain and freely downloadable.
This book was written by James Johonnot (1823-1888), who did not identify an illustrator for Friends in Feathers and Fur, and Other Neighbors. However, at least two of the drawings appear to be the work of Harrison Weir (1824-1906).
